The bride is my sorority sister, corporate event professional, and one of the most intentional people I know. When H asked me to coordinate her big day, I was truly honored. From our very first conversation, it was clear that she and C knew exactly what they wanted. They stayed true to their vision from beginning to end. About the Venue: Epiphany Center for the Arts

Located on the artsy edge of Chicago’s West Loop, Epiphany Center for the Arts is one of Chicago’s most distinctive wedding venues. Formerly known as the Church of the Epiphany, this stunning historic church has been transformed into a vibrant artistic hub. It’s both unique and creative, with just enough tradition woven in to feel grounded. The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in Epiphany Hall, in front of a stunningly preserved mosaic mural that served as a breathtaking and unique backdrop. There is simply nothing like it in Chicago.

The Reception

For the reception, H and C took full advantage of Epiphany’s built-in lighting and sound system, completely transforming the space from traditional to modern and chic. One of my favorite elements of the entire day was the signature color: HOT PINK. Heather used her creative eye to incorporate it in ways that were fun and tasteful — bold without being overwhelming, expressive without overpowering the space.

The Music

My other favorite element of the day was the music — and honestly, it might have been everyone’s. H and C were incredibly intentional about choosing a DJ who could lean into their exceptional taste. After dinner, DJ Bryen Hall got the party going and kept guests on the dance floor until the very end of the night. It felt less like a wedding reception and more like the Charlie and Heather music festival — which, as far as I’m concerned, is the highest compliment a reception can receive.
